Backlinks are links that appear on other websites that give references to your website. A modern-day there have many back-links types, but here we can categorize what are into three sections. Technically they are called do-follow, no-follow, UGC (user-generated content in forum posts and user comments in blogs), and sponsored backlinks. Any backlinks are important when the linked website goes with the niche of your website.
The first type of backlinks are website creator or webmaster put backlinks in forums, questions, and answering websites, as guest posts and comments posts. A lot of times the importance of these kinds of backlinks rely on related post and Anchor Text that was linked. For example, if you say "visit our picture gallery: click here" is poor backlink methodology that there have few words and the "click here" part doesn't have any keywords for the backlink. A better way is you can describe your picture gallery from 200 words then put a link to "picture gallery". It is creating some ranking factor for search engines.
UGC Backlinks can be important, but they should look like not spam. In this case, becoming genuine is important such as putting a comment in an interesting blog post that tells something important to the blog author as well as other visitors. Forum posts also must follow the same rule. You should not type some paragraphs just put your link.
The second kind of backlinks are links sharing and paid links. You should avoid these kinds of backlinks as soon as possible. A lot of people try to do these stupid guests posting which may reason for the applicable penalty in search engines. Link sharing between two sites also helps to reduce ranking in related two websites in search engines.
The third kind of backlinks are unbelievably valuable and can be considered as higher quality backlinks. These are your visitors put a link to your website, sometimes you do not know who put a backlink to you and then from what country. Normally users give reference to your websites in their social media pages, blog posts, and comments. Sometimes other website owners put the reference link to you in their reference section. This kind of backlinks can be found in Wikipedia, YouTube, Reedit, etc. these backlinks give long-term traffic to your website. A lot of time users in Pinterest give backlinks to their loved websites. Webinars on YouTube give backlink as references.
Evergreen contents are important in modern SEO. This means your content has information that is valid for a long time. For example, you can write content that tells about a waterfall in Canada. Some traveling information can be updated a few seasons, but content details can be steady. Backlinks created from evergreen content are valuable and give a good impression to search engines.
LSI keywords also helpful backlinks for search engines. So internal linking between webpages in the same website also do important. Because it creates backlinks from LSI keywords. For example, you create a niche website about dogs. LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) Keywords help to create a link between main keywords. They are not the same meaning words but related to the main keywords. In our example, a puppy can be the LSI keyword in the dog's website and pet also such keyword. You may have webpages about puppies and pet medicine. So linking each of webpages create backlinks among those keywords. This gives value to your website. So overall keyword density in your website becomes a higher cause of building proper internal linking. Also, you should avoid webpages which are not related to the main topic. As an example, you can not write an article about what are the type of horses in your dog website.
Backlinks are not only giving an impression to search engines. They give traffic to your website. If your website visitors give backlinks in their higher traffic sites, then it generates traffic to your website. This is important in social media sites such as YouTube webinars or Pinterest. So backlinks are a super-fast way to generate traffic.
Now the question is what ways are to create contents that impose visitors to create backlinks by themselves. For any website, content is the king. You may find keywords from the auto suggestion that comes from various search engines. You may not rely only on google rather think about other search engines too. You should learn and study about your topic. You can read Wikipedia, Britannica such as encyclopedias because they give relevant knowledge with references. Quora like question and answering websites give people's thoughts and their personal opinions. Sometimes you may need to study your subject for about one year to create a stunning website. You can talk with experienced people about that subject. As an example, if you write about diabetics then you can interview a few people who have diabetics. Even you can choose your relatives who have diabetics. Also, you want to update your webpages and contents with new information. As an example, that I created one website with proper studies then I got a lot of backlinks in Wikipedia, YouTube, Pinterest, and Quora. My visitors had created those backlinks.
